Richard Moret was the youngest registered PPM en Change Management® Consultant worldwide.

He is based in the Netherlands and works all over the World advising organizations in Project, Programme and Portfolio Management.

Richard is CEO and owner of the Ambition Group. Besides his work Richard is Chairman of the Moret Trust and Chairman of the Leo Moret Foundation.

His specialization is the implementation and improvement of portfolio, programme and project based working in organizations, and especially by large infrastructural projects and large governmental projects.

Richard advises organizations on improving and implementing their portfolio, programme and project management worldwide and worked in the Netherlands, England, Africa, Far East, Denmark and Spain.

He is best known for his work with the Maasvlakte 2 project, the fourth largest land reclamation in the World – developing 1000 hectares of new harbour area in Rotterdam where he advised and audited for 10 years.

Harley Lovegrove
Chairman of The Bayard Partnership. Change management coach, author, lecturer and public speaker

Harley Lovegrove is a serial entrepreneur who set up his first business at the age of 21. He is the author of four books (Making a Difference, Inspirational Leadership, Transition, The Change Manager’s Handbook). He is also a blogger and professional speaker.  Harley’s career has lead him to work in a wide variety of businesses from the building industry to high technology, manufacturing, clothing, photography, petro-chemical and transport.

Today he is the Chairman of The Bayard Partnership, a group practice of freelance professionals that includes a large percentage of Project and Change Managers. With offices in the UK and in Belgium, The Partnership is growing across borders and has set its sights on also reaching out into The Netherlands and Germany, to name but two.

Jolanta is also the author of many training workshops and co-author of the agile simulation game “Kinshasa – Agile African Adventure”. Dutch philosopher and publicist

Ben Kuiken (1965) is a Dutch philosopher and publicist. He worked as a journalist for several management magazines before he started the platform nieuworganiseren.nu. This is a inspiration website on new ways of organizing work. Ben wrote several books, like The Last Manager, Fuck the Rules, The Fun-factor and First Aid with New Organizing (only in Dutch). This year Ben started a new European project: the platform new-organising.eu, where he will make a tour through Europe and describe organizations who organize themselves in a new way. Jan is one of the 90 consultants that took over Finext from Ordina in 2011. Jan is a project management consultant and trainer, providing training such as value-based project management, PRINCE2R, P3OR, and Agile/Scrum. He is also a project management lecturer at Windesheim University in Zwolle, the Netherlands. Since 2005 Maria Cristina Barbero, PMP, PMI-ACP, has been the Director of the BU Change and IT Strategy of Nexen Business Consultants, the consulting company of Engineering Group (www.eng.it). Graduated in Mathematics and with an MBA in Global Management she started her career as a software developer and architect and is now an experienced consultant in Project Management, especially dealing with IT and SW projects. Odd Sandbekkhaug

Odd has spent over 20 years in Software Development, Project Management and Organizational Change Management roles. Working on complex and mission-critical systems development in the telecommunications industry, Lean/Agile methodology has been part of his approach over the last decade and has triggered team-level to corporate-level Agile transformation efforts. We expect that in the future project managers will have the opportunity to set up new configurations of their PMISs integrating several Emerging Project Management Tools or eventually blending them with traditional ones. This is the main finding we expect from the research the largest IT services company started in collaboration with the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in order to come up with an answer for practitioners repeatedly looking for alternative tools (open source, web-based, on-the-cloud project management tools). The presented research starts from an existing list of tools and attempts an evaluation of each of them based on their ability to solve some real cases we built interconnecting typical project management dimensions and requirements. Taking inspiration from Maslow’s triangle we close stating that – as a project manager – we can be motivated to take conscious leadership of a project if all other needs we may have – educational, environmental – and primarily the need for good information and reliable tools – are satisfied.

Delivering the right results at the right time is a simple requirement for projects, but not always achieved. In this session we will present techniques which allowed projects having "impossible" deadlines deliver successfully at or before the deadline.

We will discuss why delivery time is so important and how to get and keep the timing of the project under control while improving the results, using a combination of techniques to organize the work, and to check the validity of the requirements and our assumptions. These techniques allow us, even after a few weeks in the project, to quite accurately predict what will be done when. If this prediction shows that the project will be late, we actively deal with it. Many measures people intuitively apply for getting a project on time, however, are actually counterproductive. We'll warn you for these deceptive measures and we'll confide less intuitive measures that do work. Your projects will be more successful faster

Is IP(P)M the new Holy Grail? Is IP(P)M THE thing Project and Program Management is waiting for to save our project souls? And what is IPM, and do we have a uniform way of thinking about IPM? This is NOT the case as we will show during this presentation. IP(P)M, or Integrated Program (Performance) Management as it is known in the U.S.A., has a different life under Integrated Project Management in Europe, specifically in The Netherlands. And apart from that it is quite often mixed up with things falling under the concept of Integrated Project Control (IPC). In order to create better cooperation in (large scale) infrastructure projects in The Netherlands, the Dutch Water Board (Rijkswaterstaat) has been successfully developing the concept of Integrated Project Management. Within this form of IPM, Project Management is divided into 5 processes with its related responsibilities. Thus creating an Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) where nothing is (supposed to be) overlooked in a public sector project. Even though the approach is quite successful for the larger projects and is spreading throughout public sector projects and their contractors it has it flaws in other types and sizes of projects and project environments.

Traditional management is most frequently based on army hierarchy where command-and-control discipline is the major tool for the organization of work flow. Although this approach was relatively adequate in the XIX-th century, where a great part of manpower was low educated or just illiterate, it is certainly not adequate in the today’s world. If we deal with well-educated people, a much more efficient solution is a non-hierarchical model of freely cooperating processes, in which the flow of work is synchronized by supplier-client contacts. This briefly sketched model refers to my own experience when I was implementing it in my family firm (over 240 employees at that time) in the years 1997-2010. Briefly speaking the implementation of process model in a firm involves two types of actions: - administrative changes — which are relatively easy, - social and mental revolution — which is not easy at all. The revolution interferes deeply with our philosophy of work and even the philosophy of life. Just one example consists of changing the order of following mindset: success and money first to have a good life into the order good life in the first place, success and money will follow.

Our brain feeds on stories. They are as Carmino Gallo points data with soul. Using stories as a leadership tool for better understanding and motivation requires specific knowledge. The mere conviction that stories work is not enough. We need to harness the knowledge and scientific research of neurobiologists, cognitive psychologists and social psychologists to get best results. Stories as a tool can only worked if they are crafted around the findings of the brain coupling phenomenon, the mirror neurons and the biology of the brain on stories. Making the stories work for better leadership is my goal that I hope to project. Business, government, non-profits and educational organizations need leaders who can effectively navigate complex, changing situations and get the job done. Results from PMI’s industry growth forecast revealed that between 2010 and 2020, 15.7 million new project management roles will be created globally across seven project-intensive industries. As a result, the economic footprint of the profession is slated to grow by USD$6.6 trillion. Growth at this level promises both opportunities for professionals as well as challenges for organizations.

Organizations need to lead and direct projects and programs—not just manage them. The well-rounded project manager not only has the technical project management skills, but also the strategic and business management skills-, and leadership skills.

• Only 66% of organizations say that leadership skills are teachable • And 66% of organizations say that leadership skills are most important for success in project management

The World Economic Forum on the global outlook for 2015 identified the lack of leadership as the No.3 challenge over the next 12-18 months. A current deficit of needed leadership skills is a problem; a gap between current leadership strengths and future leadership demands is a serious liability. The sooner organizations understand the reality of their leadership situation, the quicker they can move to adapt by refocusing leadership development efforts and rethinking recruitment priorities.

To increase leadership capacity, organizations need to take both a strategic and a tactical approach. This session includes results from research made by PMI’s Pulse of Profession, CCL and APQC on a survey of the leadership deficit today. Results of the survey suggest that organizations and leaders could benefit from investing in leadership development.

Ideas for developing competencies found to have the largest future leadership gap include: Leading employees, Strategic planning, Inspiring commitment, Change management, Employee development, Self-awareness.

Attendees will get awareness of leadership gaps. A clear understanding of the leadership behaviors and business strategy allows executives to develop a leadership strategy. True Leadership in XXI century. Nowadays Leaders should transition transactional management towards transformational management. What does it mean? Extrinsic motivational is not working today (how many times do you give the award for well done job?). Why? Because of people who need more than before. They are quite well educated, they need to believe in something and in somebody as well they need to know that their manager believes in them, in their skills, etc…

That is why latter – day Leader has to have some special skills like fallow: 1. Vision and values. 2. Well communication (active and passive). 3. Motivate people using intrinsic motivational. 4. Develop people. 5. Delegate tasks. 6. Build winner team. 7. Change Management.

Nowadays Leaders should be: 1. Consistent in talking, doing and thinking. 2. Passionate and engage in all matters which he handles. 3. Supporting his people. 4. Thinking in a strategically way.

This is far from reality because of missing the second dimension: chaos! Ignoring to understand this fact drags companies to the chaotic state while they try to become Agile. The presentation helps participants understand how to create a correct combination of management systems that works, and brings value. The newly published PRINCE2 Agile will be criticized as an example to show the problem before explaining the solution.

If your R&D team is geographically distributed across multiple continents and projects involve both software and custom hardware development then it makes a difficult job even harder. Over the last 3 years we have learned some lessons on how to manage large mixed Waterfall/Agile R&D projects and programs across continents and cultures, and how to move from waterfall to agile on running projects without impact to ongoing business commitments. It’s a balancing act between many conflicting stakeholders and business needs. We will share our agile change management experiences from one large R&D program that made the transition and is still evolving.

It is a common knowledge that the first thing in the agile way of acting during a project are such behaviours as collaboration, effective communication and taking responsibility for the decisions made. While the agile specific tools or frameworks can be learnt from books, video clips or courses, changing our behaviour is not so easy. Before we become a “battle-hardened agilers” we have to train somewhere. The best way is to start from a safe controlled environment such as a project simulation game.

That was the idea standing behind our project of creation the Agile Simulation Game. In my presentation I want to show – from the PM point of view – how we managed this unpredictable project. I’ll show how we started from the agreed set of behaviours the game should train and how we then proceeded in the agile way. How the business side supported us and kept the whole project under control. What were the risks and obstacles and how they were overcome.

Doświadczenia z tym związane pokazały mi możliwości, które zainspirowały mnie do budowy własnego innowacyjnego startupu, realizującego strategię błękitnego oceanu. Nie porzuciłem przy tym całkiem korporacji, będąc PMem na pół etatu. Tym samym przez prawie dwa lata dzieliłem oba światy – korporacyjny i startupu.

Dało mi to szansę obserwacji i porównania obu środowisk, prowadząc mój innowacyjny startup i nowe projekty korporacyjne. Lekcja ta nauczyła mnie, że różnice znajdują się nie tam gdzie tego oczekujemy, a cech wspólnych jest więcej niż się spodziewamy. Podczas tego warsztatu chciałbym się z wami podzielić tym doświadczeniem, a także skłonić was do dyskusji na temat zasadności stereotypów, które dzielimy myśląc o świecie korporacji i startupów.

In this workshop we will present techniques which allowed projects having ‘impossible’ deadlines deliver successfully at or before the deadline. We will do several exercises to make you experience these techniques yourself. We will discuss why delivery time is so important and how to get and keep the timing of the project under control while improving the results, using a combination of techniques to organize the work, and to check the validity of the requirements and our assumptions. With these techniques we can, even very early in the project, quite accurately predict what will be done when. If this prediction shows that the project will be late, we actively deal with it. Many measures people intuitively apply for getting a project on time, however, are actually counterproductive. We’ll warn you for these deceptive measures and we’ll confide less intuitive measures that do work. Your projects will be more successful faster.

We are pleased to invite you to the active participation in 2016 New Trends in Project Management Conference that will take place in Gdynia, Poland between 25th and 26th of April 2016. This year’s conference will be incorporating PMI Talent Triangle and there are 14 PDU (Professional Development Units) to gathered in Total: 4 in technical, 5 in leadership and 5 on strategic & business area.

Submitted abstracts will be categorized into three main tracks: Technical Project Management, Leadership, Strategic & Business Management.

For all the tracks there is foreseen room for presentations and dedicated workshops.We are convinced that every speaker will find an interesting theme but to be more specific, we propose the following topic in below table.

Dodatkowo ukończyła studia podyplomowe na PG kierunek TQM (Total Quality Management). Zawodowo zajmuje się kompleksowym zarządzaniem jakością, audytem i wszystkim tym, co związane z jakością szeroko pojętą. Norma ISO 9001 (jakość) 27001 (bezpieczeństwo informacji) to jej „konik” zawodowy (i nie tylko zawodowy). Na co dzień wspiera, koordynuje i nadzoruje pracę zespołów sprzedażowo-projektowych.

Jest osobą, która na co dzień maksymalnie korzysta z życia. Ma wiele zainteresowań, jeździ konno, pływa, tańczy, skacze ze spadochronem, kocha zwierzęta.
